Accessing Benefit ID Cards and Online Portals

Medical

Shasta Head Start is self-insured with the help of EBMS as a third-party administrator. EBMS will send all employees, who are newly enrolled in medical coverage, a member ID card through the mail. Examples of the card below:

To order a replacement card and/or to access EBMS account information, you will want to log into the EBMS online portal. To access EBMS’ login page, click here: EBMS. You will be directed to the EBMS miBenefits portal.

To log in simply enter in your Member ID (found on your Member ID Card), last name, date of birth, last 4 digits of your social, & group ID (also found on your Member ID Card).

Dental

Shasta Head Start partners with SunLife Dental to provide dental benefits. SunLife Dental will not send a card through the mail. You can access your card online in the SunLife portal.

SunLife Dental offers an online portal to access your Dental Card along with other tools and services. To access SunLife’s portal click here: SunLife Dental. You will be directed to SunLife’s portal login. If you have never logged in before, select “New User? Create an account” and complete the steps to create your login credentials. Please be sure to use your personal email as any communication may contain your personal health information.

Vision

Shasta Head Start partners with VSP to provide vision benefits. VSP does not have member ID cards. Vision providers will use employee’s social security number to access their insurance information. To access VSP’s portal click here: Member Portal (vsp.com)

If you have never logged in before click “New Here? Create an Account.” And complete the steps to create your login credentials. You will need your Social Security Number. Complete the Primary Member Information section and then create a username and password.
