Filling Remaining Open Slots
Filling Remaining Open Slots before a New Program Year
Once ERSEA has completed the rollover process and the Area Managers have finalized selection for the upcoming program year, Family Workers and Home Visitors must complete the following process:
- Run the 2025 Report for your center location
- Consult with your Site Supervisor and Area Manager to select children from the waitlist and fill the remaining open slots at your center or for your caseload
- Confirm with the Site Supervisor and Area Manager that the disabilities quota is met and selected children comply with age requirements for specific classrooms
- If you have any questions regarding disabilities or age requirements for classrooms, please get in touch with the Disabilities and Mental Health Manager or the Infant and Toddler Manager
- Finally, notify families of their selection into the program, allowing the appropriate number of days for the family to accept the slot available to them
Filling Openings that Occur Mid-Year
If a child drops from a program after enrollment, we have 30 calendar days to fill that open placement.
Refer to the SOP Making Family Changes Post-Enrollment for instruction.
