Daily Logs (EHS)

Daily logs are completed by parents at the time of drop off. Parents should complete the “Parent Section” of the form and leave the form for the Caregiver.

Caregivers update the Daily Log throughout the day (see Caregiver Section of form) and give the completed log to the parent when the child is picked up. Daily Logs are to be updated continuously throughout the day as children participate in routines.

The Daily Log is part of the daily drop-off/pick-up procedures. For more information, see the SOP Drop-off/Pick-up Procedures

Filing Daily Logs:

  • The white copy goes to parent or authorized adult picking up the child. It can be handed to parent at pick up, or placed in child’s file folder where they can pick it up.
  • Yellow copies are kept and placed in a locked cabinet.
  • Daily Logs are kept onsite for the current school year (e.g. 2017-18).
