Home Visits

During a home visit, the Home Visitor or Family Worker may encounter a neighbor or friend of the Head Start family they are visiting who would like further information on Head Start.

When this happens, please complete the following process:

Complete a Short Sheet with the family’s information
Provide the family with an ERSEA business card
- Email the ERSEA department for more business cards
Let the family know they may call the phone number provided for more program information and/or schedule an eligibility interview (in-person at Admin or via telephone)
Scan the short sheet to ERSEA so they may follow up with the family

If the Family Worker or Home Visitor is employed in the outlying areas and performs eligibility interviews with families, refer to the Walk-ins or Call-ins page for the next steps.
