Virtual Training Resources

This resource document contains approved trainings that can be accessed virtually. Supervisors can review the trainings and plan intentional professional development with their staff. A Reflection form can be used to track trainings and support staff in the implementation of the content reviewed.

Follow the directions in SOP 9.0.7 to create a (CECO) account. California Early Childhood Online – Shasta Head Start

Once the account is created choose from the approved trainings listed below. You will submit the training certificate to your supervisor upon completion.

Interactive Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework: Ages Birth to Five
This is an interactive training on the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework. It is a guide to what children should know in five central domains. Each domain is linked to other resources and trainings. This is a great way to learn about development, Head Start Outcomes, observation, and assessment. This is a Teacher Toolbox for starting the year for new teachers or refresher for seasoned teachers. It is full of articles, webinars, podcast and short videos. It also connects each section to Intentional Teaching Cards from the curriculum to be used in the classroom.

TeacherToolkit - Teaching Strategies
There are many approved courses in the Individual Professional Development (IPD) program. You will need to create an account and log into your coursework. Each time you log into IPD, it will email you a verification code that needs to be input as a part of the secure log in.

The instructions to create an account are found at the end of this document. A certificate will be generated upon completion of each course. Give a copy to your supervisor.

Once you log into IPD you will want to click on ACCESS COURSE CATALOG found on the home page. Then scroll through to select your course and click Enroll Me.

Click on My Courses found on the sidebar when you want to return to a course.
